Description
A wonderful opportunity to experience the Southern Sky and its celestial wonders only visible from the Southern Hemisphere. You will observe through the professional-grade telescope objects such as (depending on the time of year and night):
- The Moon
- Saturn & Jupiter
- Mars & Venus
- The Orion Nebula
- Star clusters
- Double & triple stars
- Deep space objects such as galaxies and our Milky Way
- Shooting stars if you are lucky!
Meeting point: Wentworth Falls Picnic area, a short drive from Katoomba, at the Wentworth Falls lookout, wheelchair accessible, short walk from the carpark, toilets and a fabulous 180 degrees sunset vista with the sound of the waterfalls.
From $85 per person. 90 minutes.
Includes laser-guided constellation storytelling, naked-eye astronomy, telescope viewing, astronomy binoculars, blankets and complimentary hot chocolates, Q&A with an astronomer. Suitable for all ages.
