Learn the essentials of painting from local Blue Mountains artist, Corinne Loxton. This workshop focuses on techniques for Beginners and Intermediate painters.

Working with gouache or acrylic paint is a dynamic and exciting process, requiring mastery of techniques and daring to overcome creative challenges. Together participants will explore how best to select a subject, how to start and develop a painting and use various brush techniques. Corinne will guide each person to work intuitively, maximizing the immediacy and versatility of these water-based mediums. Participants will develop skills in composition and arrangement, explore and experiment with transparent and opaque paint applications, and mix and layer colours.

All art materials are supplied, however, participants can bring any favourite brushes or colours.
