The Lyrebird Festival returns in 2024, celebrating the spectacular Megalong Valley with music, art, food and wine, talks and nature walks. Founded and directed by the Bowerbird Collective, this event brings together some of Australia's finest musicians and thinkers for a series of spellbinding concerts and inspiring talks.

Performers: The Bowerbird Collective, James Crabb, Eric Avery, Anna Fraser, Hannah Lane, Natalia Harvey, Nicole Forsyth, Bronwyn Kirkpatrick, and Alice Morgan. Philosopher Glenn Albrecht appears with the Bowerbird Collective. Speakers include Tim Low AM, Peter Cosier AM, Jodie McLeod, Gregg Borschmann and Peter Hatherly.

An iconic Australian species, and evolutionary marvel, the lyrebird represents all that is sacred in the bush. They can be heard in the Megalong Valley imitating the calls of hundreds of other species, as well as producing their own thrilling sounds.

The Lyrebird Festival brings together art, science and conservation, and includes local culinary delights, intimate, world-class performances and a new installation by internationally renowned artist Janet Laurence.

All events have been scheduled to allow for plenty of time to move between each location. All concerts and other events can be booked separately, or together with a festival pass. Pricing includes a 'Pay what you can' option, and a discounted Festival Pass which entitles the holder to entry to all events.

Supported by Blue Mountains City of the Arts Trust and Lot 101.
