Description
Tracing the southern escarpment, the 19 km Grand Cliff Top Walk connects walking tracks from Wentworth Falls to Katoomba, offering breathtaking views of the Jamison Valley.
Linking the existing Bue Mountains City Council and National Parks & Wildlife Service tracks to create a continuous walking track through the rugged Blue Mountains was an ambitious project. This guided experience shares the behind-the-scenes story of the logistics, innovation, and skills required to make it possible.
As you traverse some of the thousands of hand-carved sandstone steps, your knowledgeable Discovery Ranger will uncover the cultural heritage and ancient ecosystems of the spectacular UNESCO-listed area of Blue Mountains National Park, known for its diverse plants and animals.
Listen for the call of the Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoo, a symbol of the Gundungurra people, as you journey through landscapes that include eucalypt forests, creeks lined with sandstone overhangs, a slot canyon, and a rainforest track with a dense bird-filled canopy.
This walk is a must-do experience to ensure you get the most out of your Grand Cliff Top Walk experience. Join the tour as an introduction before continuing the journey at your own pace or just enjoy this short walk, then relax over a coffee and bite to eat at the nearby Conservation Hut Café.
