As landowners in Megalong Valley strive to create a wildlife corridor from the Megalong to the Kanimbla Valley, so Megalong Valley Farm is creating a new low-impact concept that will enable them to share their vast property with others, all the while raising funds for conservation efforts.

Spanning 2000 acres, Megalong Valley Farm is popular with campers, an ideal spot to chill out in nature and relax. And now Farm owners Glenda and Gary Lane are inviting food truck operators and stall owners to cater to their visitors through the FOOD to GO concept.

“Now it’s time to share,” says Glenda Lane. “Our property covers a big area, so there is enough space to help others to start their journey as entrepreneurs. “We want to get all types of pop-up operators to utilise our huge venue and help the environment as well.”

To support the environmental vision in 2024, each camper and each visitor to the food trucks will enable a small donation to the Caring for their Habitat Future Fund.

“Our mission is to educate, involve and inspire the community,” says Glenda. ”Our project will strengthen the connection between the visitors, the community and wildlife by enhancing native wildlife habitat and other bush habitat in a wildlife corridor across the Megalong through to the vast National Parks.”

Megalong Valley Farm is perfect for clubs and events who look for something with lots of space, so the potential is huge. There’s plenty of parking and toilets, plus the Farm holds a liquor license.

“So if you have a food truck or stall; or want to operate our woodfired pizza or chargrill; or set up a cocktail bar in the tasting barn, burgers and booze; coffee and doughnuts, gelatos … then drop us a line,” Glenda says.
